Walk-and-Talk Therapy

“I can sit still or I can listen to you. Which one do you want? There’s no way I can do both!”

Sometimes, it is just easier to tackle hard things while moving. It may be that sitting still is a challenge . (By the way, fidgets, knitting, folding laundry, etc - all of those and any others ways you need to move are always welcome during sessions here). You may find movement that regulates you, calms your nervous system, or helps you connect to your body. You may find that being outdoors and seeing the wide open sky offers a shift in perspective .

I offer a limited number of walk-and-talk sessions. We meet in-person at a local park and we will walk as we talk through a session. You set the pace. We can pause or slow down whenever you want. If you are interested, we can talk more about the realities of confidentiality, disruptive weather, etc.

Walk-and-Talk is offered at The Fields at RFK/Kingman Island. It is accessible by the Stadium-Armory metro (orange, blue, silver), mulitiple metrobuses, and Capitol Bikeshare. There is a large parking lot.
